IWAQ is funded by the Department of Social services to provide settlement assistance to refugees and humanitarian entrants who have been living in Australia for over 12 months and less than 5 years, by helping them overcome the barriers preventing them from successfully establishing their life in Australia. The program also aims to help them become independent and active members of the wider community.
Individuals are assisted across a range of settlement needs including: networking, education, learning English, life skills, developing common goals, reducing isolation and building a sense of identity and belonging.

- School based homework clubs
- Social support and networking
- Advocacy and assistance
- Driving and Road Safety Skills
